More Free Software!
Here's a great article that talks about a bunch of different free (some open source) image editing software. These are great for creating images with text meant for the web, so you don't have to use text links. They're also great for avoiding the massive expense of the Adobe suites.
Tools to convert Powerpoint to Video
This is a fantastic article on how to convert powerpoint files to videos. There are a bunch of different ways to do it, and this links to several free programs. You can also, of course, use programs like Jing, which allow you to take screen captures, and then add in audio tracks, mash it up with other films, etc.
